Sponsorship Eligibility and Guidelines
America First Credit Union receives hundreds of requests for charitable support annually. To better meet these requests, we have established the following eligibility and submission guidelines. Please read them and determine if your request meets our criteria.
Sponsorship Philosophy
America First Credit Union is committed to actively supporting the communities in which our members live and work. We will provide resources to charitable, educational, and civic outreach efforts that parallel our mission of financial education, social outreach, and building better communities.
Sponsorship Focus
In order to be considered for funding, requests must fall into one of the following primary areas of focus:
- Youth Financial and General Education
- Adult Financial Well-Being
- Community Social Programs
- America First Member Organization Sponsorships
Preference will be given to requests that:
- Are located within our market areas
- Reflect the mission and values of America First Credit Union
- Are relevant to a majority of America First Credit Union Membership
- Fulfill a recognized need and benefit the community at large
We will not consider funding any request for the following:
- Operating or administrative costs
- Any group that represents a conflict of interest for America First
- The promotion of religious beliefs
- Individual participation in a sports activity or pageant
- Programs or events held outside our market unless there is a clear benefit to our members
Sponsorships that are political or partisan in nature need to be forwarded to Sheryl Cox, Vice President of Governmental Relations.
These guidelines will not cover every possibility, special need or opportunity, and all community sponsorship applications are evaluated on an individual basis.
