Donation Philosophy

The America First Charitable Foundation will provide resources to charitable, educational, and civic outreach efforts that parallel our mission of financial literacy education, and directly supporting organizations that provide food, shelter, clothing and medical resources to the less fortunate in the communities we serve.

Our Focus

Requests for funding must fall into one of the following primary areas of focus:

  • Youth financial literacy and general education
  • Adult financial literacy education
  • Community social programs

Requirements

Organizations requesting funding must conduct business within the America First Credit Union field of membership. All donation requests must benefit a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives most of its support through outside funding.

You must complete & submit a donation application to be considered. You may also be asked to provide a presentation to the Foundation Board. Consideration will be based on:

  • Size or amount of the donation request
  • Overall impact to the community
  • Availability of funds

The America First Charitable Foundation will NOT consider contributions for the following:

  • For-profit organizations
  • Individuals for any purpose
  • Political or partisan organizations
  • Religious groups or religion-based organizations
  • Athletic or school booster associations
  • Sport team sponsorships
  • Programming or operating expenses
  • Trips or travel expenses

All requests will be evaluated on an individual basis by the Foundation Director. We reserve the right to deny requests by any party, whether they meet the noted criteria or not. For additional details, please click the button below.
