We offer many different ways that you can make your loan payment

In Online Banking

The following options are located in the Transfers tab:

Internal Transfers - Transfer within your America First account or to another member's account.  When transferring to another member's account, you must select "Another AFCU Account" from the "To" drop-down list.  Then you will select the loan you want to pay and complete the transfer.

Debit Card Advance - Uses a debit card from another institution and pays directly to their loan.  There is an $8 fee to use this service.  In order to complete this payment, click on the transfers tab. You will then select Debit Card from another Financial Institution in the From drop down menu.

Transfer from External Account – A transfer can be initiated from an account at another institution by clicking on External Transfers under Quick Links.  The member will enter the routing number and account number of their external account, and the system will complete verification of account ownership (the external account must be owned by the owner of the AFCU account).  Once account ownership has been verified, External Transfers can be used to make loan payments, and also to deposit to Share Savings 1 and Checking.

On Mobile Banking

The following options are available within the mobile app:

Transfers - Pay your loan from your Share Savings or Checking account to any America First account.

Mobile Deposit - Take a picture of your check to deposit it into your Share Savings or Checking account.  Generally, there is a hold on the funds for a full business day before you can transfer them to your loan to make a payment. 

At a Branch

The following options are available when you visit a branch location:

Check or Cash - Pay directly to your loan with any teller.  Tellers can also make transfers between accounts.

Night Drop - Place your payment with a payment coupon or a letter of instruction in an envelope and deposits it in the Night Drop at select branch locations.  It will then be applied to your loan in the morning of the next business day.

Credit Card Advance - Use a credit or debit card from another institution to pay directly to your loan with any teller. We do not charge for this service when completed at a branch and is available to members and non-members; however, fees may apply with the other institution.

With an ATM

The following options are available at an ATM:

Transfer - Access your account's Share Savings or Checking to transfer a payment to your loan within the same account.  Available at America First ATMs only and CANNOT transfer to other America First accounts.

Deposit - Deposit a check or cash at select America First or CO-OP Network ATMs.  Filter your search to find those near the member that take deposits.

Over the Phone

The following options are available when you call 1-800-999-3961:

Speech Access - Transfer from your Share Savings or Checking to a loan within your account or to another America First account through our automated phone system.

ACH Transfers - Transfer from your account with another institution using the institution's routing number and account number directly to your loan.  There is a $8.00 flat fee for one time payment requests.  You may request to have an automatic ACH transfer set up to make your payments. The $8.00 fee is not charged when an ACH transfer is set up for automatic payments. This service is only available for members.

Card Payment - Use certain credit or debit cards from other institutions to pay directly to your loan.  There is a $8 fee per transaction.  This service is available to member and non-members.  Additional fees may apply with the other financial institution.

Through the Mail

You may mail us payments to PO Box 9199, Ogden, UT 84409 or overnight to 4646 S 1500 W Riverdale, UT 84405:

Check or Cash - Be sure to include a letter with your name, account number, and to which loan you would like the payment applied or fill out and include a Deposit and Payment Coupon.   Any overnight package should attention our Central Processing department.
