Juice Jacking
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has warned traveling individuals that criminals have been tampering with USB charging stations at airports. Malware can be covertly installed on devices that are plugged into these altered USB ports. This malware can then access sensitive information, such as passwords, banking information, and credit card numbers.
To avoid juice jacking (also known as port jacking), we recommend bringing your own TSA-compliant power brick or battery pack to charge your device when traveling. You should also avoid using free public Wi-Fi connections—especially when accessing private data—as these unsecured connections are also vulnerable to malicious attacks from cybercriminals.
