As your financial partner, safeguarding member information, identities and resources is one of our top priorities. And we’re dedicated to preventing fraud by providing education about staying protected.
Keep an eye out for unsolicited text messages, phone calls and emails stating money is owed, overdue, or further data is needed.
Here are some deceptive tactics scammers use in attempts to affiliate themselves with trusted companies, financial institutions and federal agencies:
- We’re contacting you about a past-due amount listed on your account.
- Please enter your password information for an important message.
- I’m performing an update for the credit union’s security system.
- Your payment is necessary by app or wire transfer.
If you receive communications about account status, pending amounts or other related issues, call 1-800-999-3961 and forward the message to phishing@americafirst.com.
Remember, we’re here to help. Be sure to visit americafirst.com/about/security for news and updates.
