Digital Banking FAQs

Logging In

Try clearing your web browser's cookies & cache, then restart. Or try toggling your Wi-Fi on and off.

Occasionally, security tools like a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or antivirus software can cause an attempt to log in to appear suspicious to America First’s security tools. We recommend turning them off and on, one by one, and attempting to log in each time to troubleshoot the issue. If the error persists, please contact us.

Members must create their own secure digital banking passwords to prevent unauthorized account access. Passwords also work for Quicken and QuickBooks.

Passwords must be 8 to 32 characters long and must contain at least one letter and one number. Special characters are not required but can be used and are limited to: ! # $ & ” ( ) , . / : ? @ ‘ –

A secure password is required for digital banking, Quicken, and QuickBooks. Use your PIN to make ATM withdrawals, debit purchases, free telephone banking transactions, and member service calls.

Organization

Tap or click any transaction to edit the category. You can do this from your account history, by selecting an account on the dashboard.

Click Services at the top of the screen, then use the drop-down menu to grab statements and the period you want. Click download to get the PDF file. Your computer must have Adobe Reader to use this function.

Up to five years.

The dashboard displays balance information based on the account type. Balance reflects the total funds in a savings or checking account. Available Balance reflects the funds you can spend, excluding funds on hold and pending card transactions. For additional information, select an account on the dashboard, then select Details & Settings.

The dashboard can display up to 20 accounts. To customize it, select View All Accounts, then click and drag the dots next to a specific account into your preferred order.

Yes. Accounts marked as favorites appear on your dashboard. To manage favorites, click View All Accounts and select or deselect the star next to the account name. Accounts not starred as favorites can still be seen in the View All Accounts section.

You can also choose in which order your accounts appear. Click and drag accounts into your preferred order using the dots next to the account name.

Transfers

If you don’t see an option to edit or cancel a transfer, this could mean it was set up by a representative. Please contact us to get it changed and explore other payment options.

On the Transfer & Pay tab, select Transfer Funds and go to Scheduled Transfers. Select the three-dot menu button next to the pending transfer and select Cancel Transfer. Then select Cancel This Transfer or Cancel Transfer Series.

Go to the Transfer & Pay tab, select Transfer Funds and go to Scheduled Transfers. Select the three-dot menu button next to the appropriate transfer and select Edit Transfer.

Navigate to Transfer & Pay on the dashboard and select Make Transfers & Loan Payments. Enter the transfer information and choose a frequency, start date, and end date, if needed. The Make Transfers & Loan Payments section also includes a separate tab to view transfers you have scheduled.

Personalization

Yes. You can choose to have alerts sent to your mobile device or computer as a text message, email, or both by going to the Settings tab in digital banking and selecting Account & Activity Alerts.

  • Click Manage next to Alert Contacts
  • Add a phone number or email address
  • Edit or remove contacts

Go to the Settings tab in digital banking. Under the Security & Sign-In section, you can select Contacts to manage your email, phone number, or mailing address.

Go to the Settings tab in digital banking. Under the Change Password section, you can select Manage Contacts or Update Address.

With this feature, you can access secondary and joint accounts through a single login. You can connect primary owner, joint-owner, and co-signer accounts.

To customize debit & credit cards, select the Manage Cards tab, then choose Debit Card Designer or Credit Card Designer.

Security

Our mobile app requires your PIN or password when you log in, as well as multi-factor authentication, to help prevent unauthorized access. Biometric authentication is also available on compatible devices.

Yes. Go to Manage Cards in digital banking and select Report Card Lost/Stolen.

Go to Settings in digital banking and select Profile & Security, followed by Change Password.

Touch ID, Face ID, Face Unlock, and fingerprint authentication can log you in to mobile banking. To set up biometric authentication, check the Enable Face ID or Touch ID box . Then select Tap to Start Login. You will then be prompted to enter your User ID/account number and password. You may be asked to verify a one-time passcode. No additional setup is required for consecutive logins.

Yes. You can always log in with your America First account number/User ID and password. Simply tap Cancel when the app prompts you for biometric authentication.

Accounts

To see full account details, select the account from the list in the Accounts tile. Then select Details & Settings.

This is the amount you must pay in full by the due date to avoid finance charges on your Visa credit account. Statement balances may vary at other financial institutions. Check with them for their policies.

If an account needs attention, it will display an exclamation mark which indicates a connection error. To correct the issue, select the three-dot menu icon next to the account and select Update Login. You will be prompted to enter new login information or verify your existing credentials. The account may also be locked or unavailable. If this is the case, contact the institution at which you have the account.

On the digital banking dashboard, select the three-dot menu button next to the appropriate account and select Nickname. Change the nickname and click Save.

Paid or closed sub-accounts will eventually drop off automatically. If a paid loan or closed share account is still showing, remove it from your favorites by deselecting the star next to the account name in the View All Accounts screen. The account will no longer appear on the dashboard but will still be visible in View All Accounts.​

If another America First account is shared with yours, an owner can log in to the other account, go to Settings, and select Account Sharing to remove access. Once an owner removes access, it will no longer appear on your account.

Members can use Account Sharing to grant access to another mutually owned America First account. Go to Settings in digital banking. Under the Account Connections section, select Account Sharing. Choose which accounts to share with other eligible accounts.

  • You can view and transact on shared accounts​
  • Once shared, the account will automatically appear the next time you sign in​

Select View All Accounts on your digital banking dashboard. Select the tab for Connected Institutions, click on the three dots next to the account you want to remove, and select Unlink Institution.

General Information

To view individual account history, clicking on an account from the dashboard will show you up to two years of history for the selected account.

Yes. Login credentials are the same for both services.

Transactions

Individual accounts will display up to two years of account history. You can search for specific transactions or filter by amount, date, description, category, check number, or transaction type. Histories of linked external accounts will vary according to the providing institution.

Select the account from the list on the Accounts tile on the dashboard to see the transaction history.

Mobile Deposit

With this service, you can electronically deposit checks directly into your America First account from anywhere. Simply log in to mobile banking and select Deposit from the dashboard. Select the account to deposit the funds into, enter the check amount, then take a picture of the front and back of the endorsed check and submit deposit.

Some accounts are restricted for security purposes or other reasons. Please call 1-800-999-3961 with questions.

Yes, there is a limit of $10,000 per-day, per-account. This can be met with a single check or through multiple deposits. Checks for more than $10,000 must be deposited at a branch or through a compatible ATM.

Unfortunately, no. You must log in to the linked account to complete the deposit.

No, checks must be made payable to account owner(s).

No. Checks drawn on institutions outside the United States are incompatible.

You can use either the automatic or manual capture feature. Automatic will focus on the check image inside the frame and take the picture for you. With manual, you decide when to capture the image. For the best quality, ensure the check is lying flat on a dark surface in a well-lit area.

We recommend keeping checks until you can verify that funds have cleared from the issuing financial institution.

You can get copies by calling 1-800-999-3961 or visiting a branch.

If your deposit is returned for any reason, the amount will be debited from your account. If you have a current email address on file, we will notify you of the returned deposit via email. If not, we will send you a notification through our secure digital banking messaging service. Depending on the issue, you may be able to re-deposit the check at a branch.

Business

If Express Connect isn’t working, we recommend changing to Direct Connect. Just follow the steps below.

  • Go to Tools and click Account Lists
  • Choose the account with the problem and click Edit Account
  • Select on Online Services
  • Click on the bottom blue link: Improve your Connection through Direct Connect
  • You’ll be asked for a user ID and password
  • Enter your account number as the user
  • Enter your PIN for the password
  • Click Next
  • All your accounts will show
  • Go to the drop-down menu and change Add to Link
  • Find your account from the list
  • Repeat for each account until all read Link, followed by the account name (e.g., Link-Checking)
  • Click Next
  • Your accounts will be updated
  • Click on Finish

After that, you’ll use Quicken to modify any account information.
