This time of year holds a special place in my heart. Where I live in Northern Utah, summer has fully softened into fall, and the air is crisp but not cold. As often as I can, I take my camera along on hikes or drives through the canyons, hoping to capture some small part of what makes this season so memorable. No photograph can ever fully do it justice, of course, but that simple act of observing encourages me to slow down, appreciate the moment, and be grateful for the incredible place I call home and the wonderful people in my life. And after I’ve spent a day out and about picking up just enough autumn chill, the warm evening inside with my family is all the better.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking a lot about the shifting seasons—how they remind us that change is inevitable but beautiful, and how we can learn something from each of them. Winter invites us to be resilient, and to let ourselves slow down a bit. Spring promises growth, renewal, and fresh possibilities. Summer calls us to activity and adventure. And fall gives us time to reflect on the year that has almost passed and prepare for the next. While each season looks and feels different, they’re all essential to the bigger picture.

The same is true with the seasons of our lives. We all have different experiences as we work toward our goals, care for our families, build businesses, plan for the future, or navigate unexpected challenges. Some seasons are exciting and full of opportunity. Others require patience, perseverance, and extra support.
