In 2022, America First’s dedicated efforts brought ongoing progress and growth to all facets of credit union operations. Our products, services, return on assets, enhancements of convenience & security, and related performance measurements exceeded our expectations and projections.

The resulting gains in strength and stability have enabled us to continue delivering the finest financial tools, rated among the best in our industry; our singular focus, however, is always trained on improvement. We now have branches in five states—Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho and New Mexico— guided by an exceptional leadership team making thoughtful, well-founded, and well-planned decisions.

We are indeed blessed to have such talented employees, each of whom serves with distinction in the collective aim of developing and maintaining America First members’ well-being. During the past 12 months, as in years prior, we faced significant economic challenges and barriers. And yet, in genuine fashion, we embraced the circumstances and found that this landscape, though often rugged, was also laden with exciting opportunities to expand and increase the benefits of belonging to the credit union.

Our team remains mindful that uncertain fiscal times & changing outlooks, as well as the rise of inflation and its impact on living expenses, exert monetary pressures on a day-to-day basis. Please know you have a partner in undertaking this journey, as we are committed to collaborating with each individual member, side-by- side, to help you realize the goals essential to your unique financial trajectory. Trust must be earned and it’s my hope you realize our chief priority is to be an open, communicative, trustworthy resource capable of helping you navigate uncharted landscapes and overcome unforeseen obstacles, no matter their scope.

This annual report presents you and your fellow members with data, numbers, and measurements that demonstrate productivity, adaptability and, most importantly, accountability. Such figures are accurate, audited by an independent accounting firm, and illustrate our positive direction. Your savings, loans, investments, and information are secure. Additionally, we are diligently advancing technological capabilities in numerous realms. We have implemented rigorous defenses against fraud and the proliferation of online theft; as criminals become more sophisticated,we are putting forth every endeavor to ensure the best possible safeguards are enacted in concert.

These facts show fiscal strength, potential for longevity, and capacity to ensure relevance for generations to come. But the heart of the organization, what America First represents, is best told in the stories of member success. It is our intention to lend true value to the communities we serve and the lives we strive to enhance. The tens of thousands of volunteer hours donated to lift and sustain our friends & neighbors, schoolchildren, the homeless, and less fortunate. The innumerable sponsorships and scholarships made to further the greater good. We are deeply grounded in corporate and community responsibility. We are active and each of us cares. Our mission is put into practice each day, the primary reason we have been of service since 1939.

In conclusion, it is my remarkable privilege to represent an organization whose sole concern is doing what is best for the membership. We truly embrace the future, but will never forget our roots or fail to acknowledge the fortitude of those who came before us, who forged the path for us to follow in making such a tremendous economic and societal impact.
